Dee Toscano, who worked in the Phoenix and Denver areas, was a widely recognized and collected artist of Western themes, including depictions of the interaction between children and animals. She worked in bronze, but also in oils, pastels, and print media. Although Toscano gave art instruction for many years, she herself was self-taught.

Fun Fact: Toscano was a self-taught painter and sculptor.
