This guide has been prepared as an aid so that you will be able to express you opinions briefly and clearly before the Commission and thus increase the effectiveness of your presentation. Unless extended by the Chair, applicant presentations are limited to fifteen (15) minutes, and public remarks are limited to three (3) minutes.

1. State your Name and Address.

2. Organization you represent if any.

3. Your Statement should include all pertinent facts within your knowledge. It is important to discuss only those matters relating to the hearing and to tie your discussion of the facts directly to the decision you wish the Commission to reach.

Written Testimony
In order to have written material included in the Planning Commissioner’s mailed Agenda Packet, 10 copies of the material must be delivered to the Planning office no later than 8 calendar days before the date of the Planning Commission Hearing.
Written material (10 copies) that is presented to the Planning Commission after this date and up to 1:00 p.m. the day of the Planning Commission Hearing, will be included in the Commissioners’ Agenda folder, but may not be reviewed by individual Commissioners due to the amount of material that the Commissioners have to review for the Agenda.

Disaster Reconstruction Ordinance  Adopt a resolution recommending to the City Council an ordinance amending the Beverly Hills Municipal Code revising and codifying reconstruction standards relating to buildings damaged by disaster.  Pursuant to the provisions set forth in the California Environmental Quality Act, the Commission will also consider adoption of a Categorical Exemption for the amendment. 1146 Tower Road  Hillside R-1 Permit Request for a Hillside R-1 Permit to allow cumulative floor area exceeding 15,000 square feet, establish maximum building height in excess of 14’ to ensure that views from neighboring properties are not substantially disrupted, allow an accessory structure within the front yard to exceed 14’ in height, and to allow a solid wall/gate with a height of 6’ in the front yard setback on the property located at 1146 Tower Road.
