This guide has been prepared as an aid so that you will be able to express you opinions briefly and clearly before the Commission and thus increase the effectiveness of your presentation.
Remarks are limited to 3 minutes unless extended by the Commission.

3. Your Statement should include all pertinent facts within your knowledge. It is important to discuss only those matters relating to the hearing and to tie your discussion of the facts directly to the decision you wish the Commission to reach.
Written Testimony
In order to have written material included in the Health and Safety Commissioner's mailed Agenda Packet,
10 copies of the material must be delivered to the Emergency Management office no later than 11 calendar days before the date of the Health and Safety Commission Hearing.
Written material (
10 copies) that is presented to the Health and Safety Commission after this date and up to 1:00 p.m. the day of the Health and Safety Commission Hearing, will be included in the Commissioners’ Agenda folder, but may not be reviewed by individual Commissioners due to the amount of material that the Commissioners have to review for the Agenda.

Health and Safety Recognition Program |
|
The Health and Safety Recognition Program will honor those individuals, businesses, or groups who have demonstrated leadership in the field of health and safety issues or made a contribution to the mission of the Health and Safety Commission. |

Beverly Hills Older Adult Health and Safety Collaborative |
|
Elizabeth Anderson, Human Services Specialist, will provide information on the next Beverly Hills Older Adult Health and Safety Collaborative event on November 2, 2015. |
|
The newest Dangerstoppers: Turn it Down episode will be presented to the Commission for approval. |
4. |
Study of the Health and Safety Ordinance |
|
The Commission will finalize the current revisions to the Health and Safety Commission ordinance as requested to consider if it is reflective of the Commission’s current role and responsibilities. |

All Commissioner Workshop |
|
Details on the upcoming Citywide Commissioner Workshop event on December 5 will be discussed. |
6. |
National Preparedness Month |
|
September is National Preparedness month. Provides information on the City’s efforts during September. |
|
Staff will provide information on the upcoming Shakeout Drill on October 15, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. |

Provides information on the upcoming Business and Community CERT courses.
