This guide has been prepared as an aid so that you will be able to express you opinions briefly and clearly before the Commission and thus increase the effectiveness of your presentation. Unless extended by the Chair, applicant presentations are limited to fifteen (15) minutes, and public remarks are limited to three (3) minutes.

2. Organization you represent if any.

3. Your Statement should include all pertinent facts within your knowledge. It is important to discuss only those matters relating to the hearing and to tie your discussion of the facts directly to the decision you wish the Commission to reach.

Written Testimony

In order to have written material included in the Planning Commissioner’s mailed Agenda Packet, 10 copies of the material must be delivered to the Planning office no later than 8 calendar days before the date of the Planning Commission Hearing.
Written material (10 copies) that is presented to the Planning Commission after this date and up to 1:00 p.m. the day of the Planning Commission Hearing, will be included in the Commissioners’ Agenda folder, but may not be reviewed by individual Commissioners due to the amount of material that the Commissioners have to review for the Agenda.



APPROVAL OF AGENDA - With the concurrence of the Commission, the Chair may choose to amend the order of the items on the agenda.

BUS TOUR - The Commission will conduct a bus tour of the properties at 1023 Hillcrest Road and 1017 Hillcrest Road in consideration of a request for a View Restoration Permit.

2. 1023 Hillcrest Road View Restoration Permit  Request for a View Restoration Permit by the View Owner at 1023 Hillcrest Road for the trimming and continued maintenance of six trees located on a neighbor’s property at 1017 Hillcrest Road (Foliage Owner) to a maximum height of 15’.  Pursuant to the provisions set forth in the California Environmental Quality Act, the Planning Commission will also consider adoption of a Categorical Exemption for this project.  (Assistant Planner Cynthia de la Torre)

3. Ordinance to prohibit medical marijuana cultivation in all zones in the city, including cultivation by qualified patients, primary caregivers and persons with identification cards, and prohibiting marijuana deliveries and mobile marijuana deliveries  It is recommended that the Planning Commission consider the draft ordinance, and forward a recommendation to the City Council regarding the regulation regarding marijuana cultivation, marijuana deliveries and mobile marijuana dispensaries.

4. Historic Preservation Ordinance Amendments  Consideration of amendments to the definition of “Landmark” set forth in Article 32 (Historic Preservation) of the Beverly Hills Zoning Code to clarify when interior spaces may be considered as a part of landmark proceedings.
