Remarks are limited to 3 minutes unless extended by the Commission.

3. Your Statement should include all pertinent facts within your knowledge. It is important to discuss only those matters relating to the hearing and to tie your discussion of the facts directly to the decision you wish the Commission to reach.
Written Testimony
In order to have written material included in the Health and Safety Commissioner's mailed Agenda Packet,
10 copies of the material must be delivered to the Emergency Management office no later than 11 calendar days before the date of the Health and Safety Commission Hearing.
Written material (
10 copies) that is presented to the Health and Safety Commission after this date and up to 1:00 p.m. the day of the Health and Safety Commission Hearing, will be included in the Commissioners’ Agenda folder, but may not be reviewed by individual Commissioners due to the amount of material that the Commissioners have to review for the Agenda.

Members of the public may address the Commission regarding any items not on the Agenda that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission. By State law, the Commission may not discuss or vote on items not on the Agenda. |
APPROVAL OF AGENDA

With the concurrence of the Commission, the Chair may choose to amend the order of the items on the agenda. |

Discussion on Smoking Regulations for a Multi-Unit Housing Policy |

Kevin Kearney, Senior Management Analyst, will continue the conversation on a policy regulating smoking in multi-unit housing. The discussion’s main points will cover outreach, crafting of the policy, and enforcement. |

Exploring Strengthening and Expanding Current City Smoking Regulations |

Kevin Kearney, Senior Management Analyst, will present information and facilitate conversation on the potential of strengthening and expanding current City smoking regulations. |

The Health and Safety Observances for each month will provide information on groups and organizations to raise awareness of an issue or commemorate a group or event. |

Health and Safety Accomplishments 2016 |

Provides the Commission with a list of commission accomplishments for calendar year 2016. |

Discussion of Chair’s Focus Area Topics, Area of Interest, and Work Plan Initiatives |

Discussion of the Commission’s topics, areas of interest, and potential work plan initiatives. |

Health and Safety Accomplishments Recognition Program Schedule |
|
Provides the Commission with a schedule for the 2017 Recognition Program. If a Commissioner cannot participate during the scheduled time, they may Pass. There will be no changing of months. |
