3. Recommendation by the Recreation and Parks Liaisons Gold and Friedman Regarding Priorities for Restoration at Greystone Mansion and Gardens
The Recreation and Parks liaisons recommend that the theater at Greystone be given a higher priority in the plan for restoration at the site. Additionally, they have prioritized a study of lower Greystone as well as the entryway woodwork restoration for the mansion.

4. Recommendation by Council Special Event Liaisons Gold and Bosse to Sponsor Friends of Greystone Joy to the Holidays Program
This holiday themed event will be a fundraiser by the Friends of Greystone to support the restoration of Greystone Mansion.  The event is expected to raise approximately $46,745 and will require approximately $35,000 in in-kind support from the City.

5. Recommendation by Fine Art Council liaisons Mirisch and Bosse to Implement Planting and Other Measures to Protect the Art Piece Io by Carol Bove
The City Council liaisons to the Fine Art Commission recommend that the area surrounding Io by Carol Bove in the Beverly to Rodeo block of Beverly Gardens Park be modified to provide plantings and other measures to better protect the art piece from interaction from the public.

6. Request for the City Council to Consider Taking a Position on California Proposition 10, Expands Local Governments' Authority to Enact Rent Control on Residential Property
On August 6, 2018, the City Council Legislative/Lobby Committee (Vice Mayor Mirisch and Councilmember Friedman) reviewed a request to take a position on California Proposition 10. The Liaisons were not in concurrence on a recommendation for a position on this subject. As the City Council adopted Legislative Platform contains the following language: "Support and pursue the repeal of state laws that affect local control on housing and land use", this item is being brought to the City Council for direction on taking a position on California Proposition 10.
