Presented by the The Humane Society of the United States
The ‘City with the Zip’ is celebrating 9.02.10 Day by honoring ‘All Things Beverly Hills,’ including individuals, families and animals. Representing the animal community is The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation's largest animal protection organization—backed by 11 million Americans, or one of every 28. For more than a half-century, The HSUS has been fighting for the protection of all animals through advocacy, education, and hands-on programs. HSUS' president and CEO Wayne Pacelle will present special Animal Advocate Awards to Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory), Jorja Fox (CSI) and Wendie Malick (Hot in Cleavland) for their work on behalf of animals.

Kaley Cuoco has made a name for herself starring in hit TV series since the age of 17. Cuoco starred as Bridget Hennessey, the late John Ritter’s daughter in the ABC sitcom “8 Simple Rules,” and currently stars in CBS’s highly rated comedy “The Big Bang Theory” from Chuck Lorre (“Two and a Half Men”). Kaley will also be seen on the big screen next year in the comedy Hop opposite James Marsden. Additionally, she has completed production on the independent feature The Last Ride. A regular presenter at HSUS’s annual Genesis Awards, which honors the news and entertainment media for spotlighting animal issues, Kaley has adopted her own dogs and speaks out frequently in support of rescue and shelter adoptions.
Jorja Fox can be seen on the top-rated series on television, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation for CBS. She starred for eight seasons as Sara Sidle, a member of the autopsy team who heads-up the gritty drama series that is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Fox repeatedly returned to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation for episodes in Season 9 and currently Season 10. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was nominated three times for a Primetime Emmy Award for "Best Drama Series", three times for "Outstanding Drama Series" at the Golden Globes and won the 2005 SAG Award for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.” An active supporter of The HSUS through its annual Genesis Awards, which honors the news and entertainment media for spotlighting animal issues, and HSUS’s End Dogfighting campaign, Jorja consistently speaks out against all animal cruelty.
Wendie Malick has been a familiar and beloved television presence for the last two decades. She appeared as Judith Tupper Stone in the early 1990s on the HBO comedy "Dream On" for which she won four CableACE Awards as Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Malick won a Golden Globe and two Emmy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role of fashion editor Nina Van Horn in the sitcom "Just Shoot Me!" She’s currently starring as Victoria Chase in the new hit series “Hot in Cleveland." Wendie is a great friend to The Humane Society of the United States. She serves on its legislative fund advisory board and has appeared in a national television ad campaign promoting the organization’s efforts against puppy mills, horse slaughter, factory farming abuses and pet overpopulation. Wendie also lends her talents to The HSUS’s annual Genesis Awards, which honors the news and entertainment media for spotlighting animal issues.
