LET IT SPARKLE!

For this year's holiday season the City of Beverly Hills and the Rodeo Drive Committee are partnering with Swarovski Elements for a spectacular crystal-inspired holiday décor display on Rodeo Drive.
Swarovski Elements' design theme “Let it Sparkle”, will not only dazzle visually, but will integrate the use of Twitter, making it a true interactive experience.

The City’s world-renowned shopping district Rodeo Drive will feature spectacular crystal helix sculptures with electronic tickering that will allow individuals to tweet their holiday message on Twitter and these messages will be displayed on the helix’s sparkling ticker.  In addition, “Let it Sparkle” themed light pole banners will transform Rodeo Drive and the City’s entire business district into a holiday experience shining with elegance and class.

The community is invited to attend the Holiday Décor Unveil Ceremony on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 7 p.m. on the 200 block of Rodeo Drive.   The celebration will include the unveiling of the Swarovski Elements crystal helix sculptures, the “Let it Sparkle” holiday banners, “crystallized” designer couture, and more.

The Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau (BHCVB) is hosting Sparkle 90210 and it will light the way on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the month of December.  From 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. on December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16, snow and sparkle effects will float and flutter at Two Rodeo Drive and Beverly Canon Gardens. That sparkle and shimmer fills the Golden Triangle as shoppers all over town experience classic holiday traditions including horse and carriage rides, carolers and performers each of the six evenings. More than 50 stores throughout the Golden Triangle have signed on to stay open until 8 p.m. or later each night, allowing shoppers plenty of time to stroll, dine, shop and enjoy holiday cheer along the way.

The BHCVB is also hosting Ovo Family Days, a Cirque du Soleil celebration that is fun for the whole family, happening December 3 and 17 (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.) at Beverly Canon Gardens.  Santa and Mrs. Claus will also visit The Paley Center for Media and Two Rodeo Drive.  Speaking of Santa, he and his reindeer will once again fly over Wilshire Blvd. spreading holiday cheer throughout the community.

In addition to the activities and decorations planned to capture the holiday spirit, the BHCVB has announced the return of the And to All a Free Night hotel promotion where visitors will receive a free night with the purchase of two or three nights, at the ten participating hotels, between November 1, 2011 and January 8, 2012.  New this year, hotels have added extras like generous restaurant or spa credits, access to a personal shopper and free transportation.  In addition, each And to All a Free Night package includes an exclusive shopping card, courtesy of Two Rodeo Drive, with deals at restaurants, art galleries and boutiques in the charming shopping center.  Plus, in celebration of Sparkle 90210, the first 200 guests to book the package and complete their stay will receive The Helix Pendant – a Swarovski Elements necklace inspired by the crystal display illuminating Rodeo Drive.
