Business Permits, Registration & Taxes

If you are conducting or operating any type of business within the City of Beverly Hills, you are required to register that business and pay the required tax on or before the first day of operation in the City. If you fail to register within 30 days of the date you started your business in the City, you will be required to pay penalties and interest, in addition to the tax you owe.

Your registration expires on December 31 of each year, regardless of the date you first registered.  You are required to renew your business registration and pay the appropriate tax each January 1.  If you fail to renew your business's registration by January 31 of each year you will be required to pay penalties and interest in addition to the tax you owe.  Penalties can accrue to as much as 50% of the amount of tax you owe.

For more information concerning business taxes or registering your business with the City, please contact the Administrative Services - Finance Department at 310.285.2424, or visit the one-stop permit center on the first floor of City Hall located at 455 North Rexford Drive, Beverly Hills, 90210.
