Shawneé Pickney joined the Office of the City Auditor in 2019. As a Principal Performance Auditor in the City of San Diego's Office of the City Auditor, she contributed to internal and citywide operations by conducting risk assessments and internal control reviews amongst other activities. Career projects include audits of the San Diego Office of Homeland Security and the Parks and Recreation, Personnel, Public Utilities and Real Estate Assets Departments.
Shawneé's professional experience includes working at the California State Auditor's Office as an auditor. She also has expertise in teaching, developing educational programs, and providing policy analysis for issues affecting youth and families in the education and social services sectors.
Shawneé earned her B.A. in Urban Studies with a concentration in Sociology from Columbia College at Columbia University and her Master of Public Administration from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Abbey Tenn began employment with the City of Beverly Hills as a Principal Performance Auditor in July of 2019. Prior to working for the City of Beverly Hills, Abbey worked for the Broward County Auditor’s Office as an Auditor for five years. As an Auditor with Broward County, Abbey participated in audits of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. She also investigated fraud at Port Everglades and Broward County’s Records, Taxes and Treasury Division.
Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Abbey holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Accounting from Florida International University. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and Association of Local Government Auditors.
