Huma Ahmed is the City Clerk for Beverly Hills.
Reporting directly to the City Council, Huma leads a team responsible for maintaining the City's legislative history; ensuring compliance with the political reform act; preparing the legislative agendas and minutes; attending City Council Meetings; and administering the City's records management program.
Huma began her career with the City of Beverly Hills in 2007 as Community Outreach Coordinator and progressed to Community Outreach Manager. Over the last 12 years, she has directed communications campaigns, served as the City’s Ombudsman, and coordinated various Mayoral and Council initiatives including the City’s Summer and Holiday BOLD (Businesses Open Later Days) programs. She has extensive experience working with both the residential and business community of Beverly Hills.
Huma earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern California and has obtained dual degrees from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs with a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) and an Executive Masters of Public Administration (EMPA) along with a certificate of Advanced Study in Conflict Resolution (CAS).
