Deputy City Manager (Capital Assets and Housing)

David Lightner, Deputy City Manager: Capital Assets and Housing, holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University.  Lightner has expertise in architectural and urban design and is responsible for development of the City’s capital assets and for the creation of affordable housing through the City Manager’s Office.

Prior to being named Deputy City Manager, his previous experience with the City includes service as director of economic development, deputy director of Planning and Community Development, and a consultant on urban design issues.  Additional work experience prior to association with the City includes architectural designer and architectural show set designer.
