Embrace Civility Award Winner Announced by Human Relations Commission

 

On June 19, 2012, the Human Relations Commission awarded their inaugural Embrace Civility award to Beverly Hills resident Ronald Boze. Mr. Boze received a proclamation from the City Council recognizing his contribution to civility in Beverly Hills by promoting positive human relations in all aspects of community life and exemplifying the following attributes: acts as a role model of positive civic behavior; takes a stand in support of respect and responsible actions; and promotes neighbor to neighbor relations.

The Human Relations Commission (HRC) consists of five members of the Beverly Hills community appointed by the City Council to advise, recommend, assist and encourage activities and programs to be undertaken to promote positive human relations in all aspects of community life.

The primary objective of the Beverly Hills Human Relations Commission is to actively establish our city as a model of a just and equitable society. The Commission recognizes the benefits inherent in a diverse community, fosters understanding and acceptance of all its citizens, and promotes civil discourse and conduct.
