Community Preservation Services maintains and improves the quality of life in neighborhoods through constituent outreach, responsiveness to community concerns, and the fair enforcement of the Beverly Hills Municipal Code. Officers respond to compliance issues related to property maintenance, nuisances, building and zoning violations, animal control, and other laws and regulations. Whenever possible, Officers are expected to use a strategy that focuses on building ties and working closely with members of the community. The goal is to obtain voluntary compliance from citizens. Education of the public regarding applicable laws is required and is our most effective tool in obtaining a permanent solution. StaffCode Enforcement Officers are actively making investigations during the day. Code Enforcement Officers respond to a variety of community concerns. Officers are assigned to specific regions throughout the City to assure residents can build working partnerships inspectors to create and maintain safe, clean and vibrant neighborhoods. All inspectors are Certified Code Enforcement Officers under California Associate of Code Enforcement Officers (CACEO), and are trained in a variety of other supplementary disciplines.
