The Central Area Bulk & Mass Study is a review of bulk and mass and parking for homes in the Central Area of the City. The goal is to identify ways of ensuring that new homes have a comparable scale and mass as existing neighborhoods. The map below displays the single family areas of the City in yellow that are part of this study.

The following documents were developed as precursors to the study that were pesented and discussed at the Community Workshop on October 24.
Draft Mass and Bulk Recommendations Report - Available! The contents of this document will be discussed at the Community Workshop on October 24.
Issues and Options Paper - Available! The Issues and Options Paper identifies ways for reducing bulk and mass and ensuring adequate parking.
Working Outline - Available! Information presented in the Issues and Options paper has informed a draft outline for the Bulk and Mass Study. Additionally, the draft outline includes goals and guiding principles for the potential development standards.
Activities to Date
Stakeholder Meetings. In November of 2012, a Planning Commission Task Force composed of Chair Rosenstein and Commissioner Corman began hosting stakeholder meetings to better understand the core issues related to bulk and mass of new Central Area homes. From November, 2012 to June, 2013, the Task Force held meetings for the following groups:
