What is the Housing Element?

Each city in the State is required to have a housing element as part of its general plan and each city must update the element regularly.  the housing element addresses State requirements for housing, and includes the City's housing goals, policies and programs.  The housing element is a guide for expanding housing opportunities in Beverly Hills for all households in Beverly Hills and ensuring that the existing and future housing needs of the community are met.  The Housing Element can be viewed at the Beverly Hills General Plan website.
 

Stay Involved!

Public input is important throughout the housing element update process.  Over the next several months the City will be holding meetings and providing surveys to gather information and better understand what is important to the residents of Beverly Hills.  Meetings will be announced on the City's website and notices will be placed in local newspapers.  If you have any questions or comments, please contact Peter Noonan at (310) 285-1127.
