Photo Red Light Enforcement
In 1997, the City of Beverly Hills initiated a Photo Red Light Program at three intersections in the City. Since the program's inception, additional intersections have been added. The selected intersections had a high incidence of traffic collisions, caused primarily by red light violations, and other enforcement and engineering tactics were ineffective to impact the number of collisions. These intersections include:
Xerox State and Local Solutions has been contracted to provide services related to this program. Unlike previous systems used in Beverly Hills, the current equipment provides digital video and still images, allowing for greater coverage of violations and quicker transfer of the information. In addition to receiving the photographs by mail, accused violators can view a password protected video clip on the company's website at http://www.cite-web.com.
All of the violation notices are reviewed, approved and issued by a sworn Police Officer with the Beverly Hills Police Department Traffic Bureau. If you have a question about the Photo Red Light Program or questions regarding a specific citation, please contact the following numbers:
