Julian A. Gold M.D.
Julian A. Gold, M.D., was elected to the Beverly Hills City Council in 2011 and served as mayor in 2015.
Mayor Gold previously served on the Recreation and Parks Commission and on the Traffic and Parking Commission, of which he was chairperson. He is a graduate of Team Beverly Hills class of 2002. He was vice mayor in 2014.
Dr. Gold grew up in New York and graduated NYU School of Medicine. A board certified anesthesiologist for 30 years, Dr. Gold is Co-Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Cedars-Sinai and Co-Managing Partner of General Anesthesia Specialists Partnership Medical Group. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the USC Keck School of Medicine. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and has served on many committees. An active supporter of local youth sports, Dr. Gold was a board member of Beverly Hills Little League and has coached both Little League and AYSO.
Councilmember Gold has lived in Beverly Hills for 22 years. He and his wife, Michele E. Gold, CRNA, PhD, have a daughter, Rebecca, who attended Beverly Hills public schools.
