The Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 requires that local governments, as a condition of receiving federal disaster mitigation funds, have a mitigation plan that describes the process for identifying hazards, risks and vulnerabilities, identifies and prioritizes mitigation actions, encourages the development of official mitigation and provide technical support for those efforts. The mitigation plan serves to meet those requirements.
This plan has been designed to assist the City in reducing risk from hazards by identifying resources, information, and strategies for risk reduction, while helping to guide and coordinate mitigation activities throughout the City.
The Final Approved Hazard Mitigation Action Plan is available to view here.
In addition, hard copies of the plan are available at Beverly Hills City Hall, 455 N. Rexford Drive, Beverly Hills CA 90210.
