The City of Beverly Hills continues to receive updates from both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH). The City is being proactive and is in regular communication with our local and national partners to coordinate potential response.

The City of Beverly Hills Filming and Special Events Office will continue reviewing future filming, photography and special event permit applications on a case by case basis.

Special Events AND #OPEnBH

Per Los Angeles County Health Order, gatherings outside the household, and thus special event permits, are not being issued for events until further notice. Outdoor dining, outdoor business operations, and vehicle-based parades are exempted per the order, and allowed to apply for permits.

#OpenBH is the City's process for allowing businesses to temporarily expand their services to adjacent areas such as parking lots and the public right of way (sidewalks) through a Special Event Permit. Businesses that are currently able to use #OpenBH to expand services outside include restaurants, gyms, salons, faith based organizations, and retail shops.  Please see below for all details, and
email cbh-eventpermits@beverlyhills.org or call 310-285-2408 with any questions.

REVIEW OUR LATEST PRESS RELEASE

Will restaurants be able to serve alcohol?

Yes, restaurants with existing alcohol permits will be allowed to serve alcohol in an expanded area by obtaining a temporary expansion permit from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) and compliance with a list of standard conditions from the City's Special Events and Filming Office.

IS MY BUSINESS ALLOWED TO UTILIZE THE STREET?

Yes, businesses who wish to utilize the street may do so by converting metered parking spaces to dining or similar areas, known as "parklets". Parklets do require additional review by departments, and in many cases a temporary structure permit from Building and Safety, but are a great substitution for an underutilized meter or valet area. Current guidelines, samples and other details are available here.
