Vice Mayor Julian A. Gold, M.D., was elected to the Beverly Hills City Council in 2011 and served as mayor in 2015 and 2018. Vice Mayor Gold graduated Team Beverly Hills, class of 2002. He served six years on the BH Traffic and Parking Commission and served one year as its chair. Subsequently he served on the Recreation and Parks Commission until his election to Council in March 2011. Dr. Gold grew up in New York and graduated NYU School of Medicine. A board certified anesthesiologist for 40 years, Dr. Gold was Co-Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Cedars-Sinai and Co-Managing Partner of General Anesthesia Specialists Partnership Medical Group from January 1991 until April 2019. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the USC Keck School of Medicine. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and has served on many hospital committees. An active supporter of local youth sports, Dr. Gold was a board member of Beverly Hills Little League and coached both Little League Baseball and AYSO Soccer. Since April 2019, Dr. Gold has been involved with the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator in support of medically related startup companies. He serves as an expert consultant to the medical, legal and business communities on a broad range of subjects. Dr. Gold has lived in Beverly Hills for more than 25 years. He and his wife, Michele E.
