FAQ - What services does the Office of Human Services/HRC provide to the public?
Answer: The Office/HRC are interested in responding to individual or organizational concerns about perceived or actual discrimination or bias, and providing prevention and resource information. The Office provides resource and referral information on issues such as homelessness, sexual assault, domestic violence, gay and lesbian resources, prevention of discrimination, etc. The Office/HRC interacts and works closely with City departments and community organizations such as PATH, Anti-Defamation League, Maple Counseling Center and many others. From time to time, the Office/HRC also collaborates with different agencies in sponsoring events or programs which will promote positive intergroup relations.
