Michael Forbes

Mr. Forbes oversees the divisions of Planning, Development Services, Community Preservation, Rent Stabilization, and Community Filming and Event Permits as well as five of the City’s Commissions. He has over 25 years of experience in planning, previously serving as Planning Director for the City of Westlake Village. He also undertook several leadership roles for the cities of Burbank, Glendora, Thousand Oaks and Temple City.

Forbes earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from UCLA and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
