Southwest Neighborhood Traffic Calming Plan
City staff are working with residents to develop a traffic calming plan for the Southwest Neighborhood that aims to reduce cut-through traffic and vehicle speeds, and will serve as a model for citywide traffic calming efforts. As part of this process, City staff have developed a survey asking residents to indicate the types of traffic calming treatments that they support. The results of this survey will be used by City staff to develop a draft plan. No plan will be approved and nothing will be installed before the draft plan is presented to the Traffic and Parking Commission and City Council; this will provide residents with additional opportunities to provide comments, which can assist staff in revising the plan to meet the needs of the neighborhood. The final plan must be approved by City Council before it can be implemented.
Please click here to take the survey. Surveys must be submitted by January 11, 2019. Only one survey response per dwelling unit will be counted. If you have any questions, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
The documents below contain additional information about the traffic calming treatments that are part of the survey, including information on each treatment's effectiveness, cost, and appropriate locations.
