Wireless Access
  1. Connect to “City Guest” Wi-Fi signal listed under your available wireless connections, and once connection has been established - launch your browser, so it would attempt to go online.
  2. You should be redirected to the terms of use page. Please read and accept the terms of use by clicking on the “I Agree” button. You will now be connected.

Please note: on Apple devices running OS X/iOS you will be presented with a popup displaying the terms of use. Users of Windows/Android operating systems will need to manually start their browser of choice, and try navigating somewhere online in order to trigger the terms of use page.

 
Wireless Printing

Please note: to be able to use the Library’s wireless printing system, patrons must have a valid library/computer card or a guest pass. Monetary value can be added to the card via the standard Pharos kiosks located in the Lobby and Closed Periodicals office of the Library.

Computers

The Library has public access computers (PCs) which provide access to the Internet, productivity software (Word, Excel, and Power Point), Electronic resources to which the Library subscribes, and the Library’s catalog.

Individual stations are designated in the following categories: Children’s (13 and under) and Adult (14 and up).

All stations use Pharos printing and session management system and require a current library card, computer card, or a guest pass to log in.

Public Internet Access Policy

 

Adult: PCs in the adult areas are reserved for patrons age 14 and above.

Guest passes are available for purchase by computers users without a library card or to extend time for library card holders. A guest pass costs $1.00 and provides 1 hour of computer time on the day it is purchased. If more time is needed, additional guest passes must be purchased.

Pharos kiosks that sell the guest passes are located in the Lobby and Tech/Closed Periodicals office of the Library.

Computer Usage and Access Rules

 

Kids: PCs in the children’s areas are to be used by patrons through age 13. Only a current children’s card will allow access.  Children under age 9 should be accompanied by an adult at all times while using the Internet.

 
Printing

Printing is available for 20 cents per page (black and white) or $1.00 for color.

Where to pick up:
Printers are available near the Tech Desk, Second Floor Reference, the Lobby, and Children’s Library.

Payment: Money can be added to a library card, computer card or guest pass for payment of printing and copying. The minimum amount that can be added to an account is $1.00. The money kiosk does not give change for larger denominations. Money on your account can not be used to pay library fines.

 
Copying/Scanning/Microfilm

Copiers are available near the Tech Desk and in the Second Floor Reference area.  Copying is available for 20 cents a page (black & white) or $1.00 per page for color.

Scanning is available for $1.00 per session.

A microfilm and microfiche reader is available for usage and requires either a current library/computer card or a guest pass to operate.
