We need your help in developing the City's first Climate Action and Adaptation Plan!
In an effort to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and make the City of Beverly Hills more sustainable, the City is currently working on developing the City's first Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP). The goal of the CAAP is to improve the quality of life in the Beverly Hills residential community, reduce the City's carbon footprint, enhance the business community and economic vitality within the City, and mitigate and adapt to the future impacts of climate change.
The CAAP will include recommendations for stakeholders, improved policies and programs, community engagement strategies, and a framework for how Beverly Hills can achieve our goals. In order to do so, it is crucial to have open dialogue amongst the various stakeholders within the community and receive your feedback and input.
We are looking for five (5) community members to join the Community Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC will meet approximately four (4) times over the next 18 months to provide input on the vision, goals, and greenhouse gas reduction targets of the CAAP.
If you are interested, please submit an online application by Friday, August 6, 2021.
If you have questions about the CAC, contact us at AskPW@beverlyhills.org or by phone at 310-285-2467.
