What does the ordinance INCLUDE?

Disposable foodware accessories will be made available to customers upon request. Disposable foodware accessories include, all utensils, napkins, straws, wet wipes and condiments.

Why an Ordinance?
  • Single-use plastic cutlery pollutes the environment.
  • Production and disposal of single-use plastics increases greenhouse gas emissions, which is a major contributor to climate change.
Who will be affected?

Food service establishments. A food service establishment is any retail establishment that sells prepared food for consumption, including from a restaurant, temporary facility, cart, vehicle, or mobile unit.
