Beverly Hills Centennial Arts of Palm Installation

The City of Beverly Hills iscelebratingits 100th year anniversary!A year-long series of exciting events and initiatives will pay tribute to Beverly Hills, including the"Arts of Palm" public art installation. The City is known for its iconic palm trees andthis installation pays tribute to the City with artwork both literal and abstract, reflecting each artist'sinterpretation and imagination.

"Arts of Palm", which is curated by Kate Stern, is envisioned to be the largest short-term public art installation ever to be held in Beverly Hills. The installation features high caliber artists in a variety of artistic mediums. The initial artworks have been created by: Anne Shutan,Brad Howe,
Kenton Nelson, Michael C. McMillen, Mike Stilkey, Peter Shire, Peter Alexanderand Ryan T. Schmidt.

Works of art will soon be popping up on the lawn at City Hall, in the adjacent Palm Court between Crescent and Rexford Drive, inside the Public Library, in the Beverly Canon Gardens next to the Montage Hotel, and in the lobby of the Conference and Visitors Bureau located on Santa Monica Boulevard and Canon Drive. Additional pieces will be installed on various interior locations throughout the City in the coming months.

Curator led Art Tours, events with the artists and other community Arts of Palm activities will be taking place throughout the year. Maps highlighting the locations of the artwork will be available to the public.
