Wedding Ceremony at Greystone   Courtyard wedding

Rates & Fees

Rental fees for events at Greystone Mansion & Gardens: The Doheny Estate are based on:

  • The number of people
  • Whether the event is inside, outside, or both
  • The number of exterior areas used
  • The length of the event
  • The amount of time needed by your vendors
  • Other factors such as valet parking, if a tent or generator is required, etc.

The full fee sheet is located on the last two pages of the Greystone Venue Brochure, and the Venue Coordinator can provide an exact estimate for your event. Non-profit discounts are available for Monday-Thursday events. Click here for more information on daytime meeting rentals.

Photo permits are required for all photography at Greystone. Rates and more information at the bottom of the page.

 

Here are a few sample event rental estimates to help you plan:

Grounds only: Five hour event using two outdoor areas

Estimate includes the use of two exterior areas for five hours. Four hours of set up time and two hours of strike are included.
There is an additional charge if you would like to use a third exterior area during your event.

201-300 people*: $6,200 (+ refundable surety deposit) $7,500 (+ refundable surety deposit)

*Please note, our largest reception space holds 225 people. Larger events will need to be divided into multiple spaces for a seated reception and must be pre-approved by Greystone staff.

 

Grounds & Mansion: Seven hour event, Friday-Sunday rate (see outline below)

This estimate is for the following wedding timeline: Ceremony in the Formal Garden, cocktail hour on the Terrace, dinner in the Courtyard, dancing in the Mansion. Estimate includes five hours of vendor set up and two hours strike.

Mansion & Terrace: Four hour event

For a smaller event, when guests will be mingling and/or seating in multiple rooms works well, the mansion first floor and terrace is an elegant option. Estimates are for up to 200 people and include four hours for vendor set up, two hours strike.

Ceremony only

One-hour ceremony with two hours for vendor set up and two hours for strike. No food or beverages (except water) allowed for ceremony-only rentals.

Refundable surety deposit amount

  • Exterior events, mid-April through mid-November: $1,000
  • Exterior events, mid-November through mid-April: $5,000
  • Interior events (including interior & exterior events): $10,000

Booking and payments

  • All events (except wedding ceremonies) require a $1000 nonrefundable deposit to book a date
  • The $1000 deposit is applied to the total amount due. The remaining amount, including refundable deposits, is due a minimum of 2-4 weeks before the event date, depending on the method of payment
  • Ceremony only events must pay in full at the time of booking

Additional costs

  • $2,000,000 per occurrence general liability insurance listing the City of Beverly Hills as the Certificate Holder and Additional Insured is required for all events at Greystone. If alcohol is served at the event, the liability insurance must include host liquor liability.
  • Most events are required to submit a public assembly permit and diagrams of rented spaces to the Beverly Hills Fire Department. Permit fees start at $65.
  • Tents, generators, and other items may require additional permits
  • Events with 300 or more people must provide valet and/or shuttle service. Greystone can provide contact information for valet companies who are familiar with the site. Additional park rangers will be required.
  • Some events might be required to hire a fire marshal, police officer, security, and/or traffic control officer for the duration of the event. Ask the Venue Coordinator if your event is likely to incur these costs.

Rates below are for photography sessions only. Rates are per hour. One- or two-hour permits available.
