TUESDAY JANUARY 15 at 7 pm - Winter Menu
The winter episode of Cooks for Kids will take you to Montana to see how the Missoula County Public Schools have created unique partnerships to increase the use of seasonal, local produce that helps them deliver more flavorful, healthier foods to their students. Using Montana grown wheat, fruits and vegetables, and locally raised beef they serve student favorite foods. The school garden at Lowell Elementary shows how a community project makes the kids the real winners. Chef Marvin Woods will demonstrate Vegetable Lasagna and Mashed Butternut Squash using favorite winter produce. Join the chef in the classroom as he shows children how to make easy and tasty fruit and vegetable stixs.
