The City unveiled a new sculpture on Burton Way by international artist William Kentridge, titled "World on it's Hind Legs". 3. Work continues on the Santa Monica Blvd Reconstruction Project. Stories for the June 16th edition: 1. At their June 13th formal meeting, the Beverly Hills City Council honored the 242nd Birthday of the United Sates Army. 2. In Roxbury Park at a rescheduled Arbor Day Event, Mayor Lili Bosse accepted the city's 32nd consecutive Tree City award from the Arbor Day Foundation. The city added two planted two new tress to honor the event. 3. Beverly Hills celebrated another great Piesta event last Sunday at the Farmers' Market. Metro held a family centered art workshop to gather ideas for the 'look and feel' of the upcoming Purple Line Subway stations. 5.
