Weekly Update 03/15/18
Wilshire/La Cienega Station
Lane closures needed to accommodate construction work.
On Saturday, March 17, eastbound Wilshire will be reduced to one lane between Gale Drive and San Vicente from 3 am to 8 pm.* Wilshire will also be reduced to one lane between Gale and Tower Drive on Sunday, March 18, from 8 am to 7 pm.* This is needed for the contractor to perform some drilling, placement of instrumentation and for jet grouting.
Beginning Monday, March 19, one lane will be closed on Wilshire Boulevard between Gale Drive and San Vicente. Work hours are 9 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.* On weekdays from 7 am to 10 pm, Gale Drive will be closed to allow excavation and trucking activities, and the left turns will not be allowed from southbound San Vicente onto westbound Wilshire.*
The north sidewalk on Wilshire will be closed between Hamilton and La Cienega beginning Monday, March 19.*
Please continue to respect construction barriers and detours for your safety.
Utility relocation continues on Wilshire Boulevard. No work on Sunday due to the LA Marathon.
Utility relocation continues in preparation for the future Wilshire/Rodeo Station. The station entrance will be located on southwest corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Reeves Drive. The work is ongoing and scheduled to continue through August 2018.*
All work is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.* Regularly scheduled Sunday work will not take place on March 18, due to the LA Marathon.
During work hours, all left turns will be restricted between S. Canon Drive and Crescent Drive and the southbound lane of S. Reeves Drive will be closed weekdays. Flaggers will be on site during work hours to assist with detours, access to the alleys east and west of Canon Drive, and to maintain two-way traffic on S. Reeves Drive.
*Due to the dynamic nature of construction, all proposed dates and times are subject to change.
