April is Volunteer Month and here in Beverly Hills we are celebrating our 32nd Anniversary of the Beverly Hills Volunteer Program honoring outstanding service provided by volunteers this past year. Approximately 250 volunteers contributing a minimum of 40 service hours each will be honored at a special Volunteer Recognition Dinner. We will also be recognizing three dedicated individuals with the Tenure Award who have volunteered for the City of Beverly Hills for the past 10 years, Bill Wolfe, Gloria Gordon, and David Rittenberg.
The Community Services Department is offering a variety of ways to volunteer in the community. This is an opportunity to meet new people and become involved in one or more or our worthwhile projects or special activities. A daily seniors nutrition program and new volunteers are needed to assist with distributing lunches, checking in seniors and collecting donations.
We are recruiting for the upcoming event - Greystone Concours d'Elegance (May 7) and Beverly Hills artSHOW (May 20 & 21). A fun event for the whole family to get involved.
Volunteering is a great way to share your skills, learn new ones or help those in need. Call the City of Beverly Hills Volunteer Program at 310.285.6843 and we will help you find the right match whether it's for a day, weekly or just for special events. You decide!
