Taxi Service
The City of Beverly Hills inspects and permits taxicabs and taxi drivers from the following three authorized taxi companies:
If you require taxi service, please call one of the three City authorized taxi companies to schedule pick-up. You may also find an authorized taxi at one of the following taxi stand locations in the City:
Taxi rates are mandated by City Council Ordinance. All three companies post the same taxi rate for service in and out of the City. There is currently a flat rate of $38.00 for any trip originating in the City of Beverly Hills to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). There is not a flat rate from the airport to Beverly Hills as this is under the jurisdiction of the City of Los Angeles. The City conducts extensive and comprehensive annual inspections of approximately 125 taxi cabs. Among other things, vehicles are inspected for mechanical soundness, cleanliness, and accurate posting of rates and phone numbers. Permit decals are displayed on the rear trunk-lid or left-side window of the taxi. Drivers are also required to pass a written examination, drug screening and police record check. The driver is obligated to display his/her City-issued identification card on the right side of the vehicle dashboard. Please be aware that you may encounter various other taxicab companies on City streets as they may be dropping-off a client, however, they are not permitted to pick-up customers within the City limits.
