The sculpture is a portrayal of a young dancer woman in a classical ballet pose called "arabesque with attitude" trying to emanate the feeling of flying through dance. She is perched on top of a fluted column and is surrounded by a flying ribbon. The sculpture is placed in a round fountain and on the column and in the water there are doves attached that are flying around the monument.

Fun Fact: Flight to Infinity was created for and dedicated at the opening of the Beverly Hills Peninsula Hotel in 1999.
