Apply for Passport Books or the new Passport Card at the Library
The Beverly Hills Public Library is pleased to announce that it now accepts passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. U.S. citizens planning international travel may apply for their passports at the Library located at 444 North Rexford Drive Beverly Hills, CA 90210.Call 288-2279 or 288-2227 to make an appointment during library hours.
    Passport desk hours are as follows:
  • Monday - Thursday 10 am to 6:30 pm
  • Friday and Saturday 10 am to 4:30 pm
  • Sunday 12 pm to 3:30 pm

Application forms are available in the Library or at http://travel.state.gov. Please bring your government issued photo identification and 2 photographs. Our fees are mandated by law so bring two (2) checks, one check for the
Department of State and one for Beverly Hills Public Library.

New travel requirements make it even more important to have a passport. The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that by January 1, 2008, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States. This will be implemented in the following phases:
  • Beginning January 23, 2007 - Requirement applied to all air travel.
  • As early as January 1, 2008 - Requirement extended to all land or sea (including ferries) border crossings.
