Results from the DUI Checkpoint

Beverly Hills, Calif. – On March 17, 2022, two individuals were arrested for DUI, and three were issued citations for driving without a license at a DUI checkpoint.

The DUI checkpoint was held at North Santa Monica Blvd and Crescent Drive from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. One hundred eighty vehicles were contacted. No additional arrests were made for other criminal charges.

DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.

The next DUI checkpoint will be held in the month of September.  The specific date has yet to be determined. Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
