Encompassing more than 11 acres of beautifully maintained green space, Roxbury Park is a popular spot for numerous recreational activities, including picnicking, lawn bowling, basketball, sand volleyball, baseball and soccer.

The Roxbury Park Community Center offers a full slate of senior classes and services, such as a daily, low-cost lunch and instruction in everything from aerobics to sculpting. Adult classes also are provided in the Center, along with preschool programs and meeting or party rooms to rent. 

The City’s Parks Master Plan, developed after an extensive review of community needs, calls for some improvements and an increase of 13,000 square feet of open green space at Roxbury Park. Known for its gently rolling green hills and shaded areas beneath spreading tree canopies, Roxbury Park also features: 

• Picnic table rentals with use of park barbecues  
• Large children’s playgrounds
• Four well-lit tennis courts
• Lawn bowling, croquet and putting green
• Baseball diamond/soccer field
• 1-1/2 basketball courts
