From architectural reviews to zoning amendments, the Planning section of the Community Development Department handles the lion’s share of land use and development issues in the City of Beverly Hills. The planning team acts as advisors to the City Council and Manager, residents and the business community, and oversees all applications for discretionary permits. Keepers of the General Plan, along with mandated land use maps and zoning codes, the Planning division also provides administrative assistance to the Planning Commission and administers Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and other Federal programs for eligible residents.
