Comment: Staff recommends Public Works Commission recommend to the City Council additional drought measures in support of the current State Drought
Emergency that include:
• Continuing the Stage C Drought Emergency as approved by City Council on
February 8, 2022 (Attachment 1).
• Maintaining a 2-day a week watering schedule instead of moving to 3-day a week
watering schedule on June 1, as noted in the City’s Stage C, Resolution No. 17-R-
13135 (Attachment 2). Note: The State regulations allows watering to ensure the
health of trees and other perennial non-turf plantings.
• Restricting the use of potable water for outdoor irrigation, including the use of a
hose, between 9 am to 6 pm. |
