Public comments will also be taken during the meeting when the topic is being reviewed by the Public Works Commission. Comment: Staff is recommending that the commission supports extending the outreach efforts until May 2023 to gain voluntary replacement of single-use plastic and polystyrene materials from business. Staff will return to the Public Works Commission in May and provide an update on the participation level and next steps on developing a proposed ordinance.
