Affordable Housing Development AT

9268-9298 W. 3rd STreet


The Beverly Hills City Council has held multiple public meetings in recent years to discuss affordable housing issues and the development of an affordable housing project on a property already owned by the City. The City Council has authorized City staff to pursue the development of an affordable project.

The following Request for Qualifications / Conceptual Proposals (RFQ/P) was distributed on April 1, 2022 to identify qualified development teams that were offering conceptual development programs that meet the City's goals and objectives. Please refer to the RFQ/P, below, for additional detail.

Responses to the RFQ/P were due on June 9, 2022. After extensive review and a rigorous selection process, the City Council approved an exclusive negotiation agreement (ENA) with non-profit affordable housing developer West Hollywood Community housing Corporation to develop a project at 9268-9298 W. 3rd Street.  


Update (9/12/2023): At the September 12, 2023 Formal Session, City Council approved an exclusive negotiation agreement (ENA) with non-profit affordable housing developer West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation.

Update (8/25/2023): At the September 12, 2023 Study Session, staff will present the results of the RFQ/P selection process and the City Council Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Subcommittee's recommended developer for a future project at 9268-9298 W. 3rd Street. An exclusive negotiation agreement (ENA) with the recommended developer is planned to be presented on the September 12, 2023 evening Formal Session Consent Agenda. When available, a link to the staff report for each item will be posted on this webpage under the Relevant Public Meetings and Reports section below.  

Notices regarding the meeting have been sent to all addresses located on block within 500 feet of the recommended site (also known as 500 feet plus block face).
