Dog Licensing

Dogs are required to be licensed. Licenses for dogs in Beverly Hills are issued by the City of Los Angeles. To apply for or renew a license online, please visit the City of Los Angeles Online Licensing page.

Spay and Neuter Your Pets

The City of Beverly Hills requires that all cats and dogs over the age of four months must be spayed or neutered.  For more information please visit Los Angeles Animal Services.

In an effort to curb the ongoing proliferation of feral cats and homeless pets, domestic cats over the age of four months may not be allowed outside in a public place, unsupervised, unless the cat is spayed or neutered.

Lost Pets

If your pet is lost, someone may have already found it and brought to one of the Animal Service Centers in Los Angeles. Visit their search page to search for your missing pet. If the animal is still lost, you may initiate a lost pet search by submitting an online form to the Los Angeles Animal Care Center.

Pet Adoptions

The Los Angeles Animal Services website has photos and information about dogs, cats and other animals waiting to be adopted. Visit the website
