The Firewise USA recognition program is administered by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and provides a collaborative framework to help neighbors in a geographical area get organized, find direction, and take action to increase the ignition resistance of their homes and community and to reduce wildfire risks at the local level.  

The community of Beverly Hills has been recognized as a Firewise / USA site since 2005.  The City of Beverly Hills was the 3rd State of California and 114th in the Nation to earn this recognition.
