The City is developing guidelines for residents who may request future traffic calming devices on their streets. Traffic calming includes infrastructure and programs to reduce vehicle speeding and cut-through traffic on residential streets.
The City is requesting comments specifically on the draft Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program guidelines document below, including the traffic calming “toolbox” options and the proposed process for residents to request devices on their streets. Once City Council approves the final version of the guidelines, residents will be able to use this document for instructions on how to request traffic calming devices on specific residential streets.
The City anticipates providing a summary of comments received to the Traffic and Parking Commission at the November 3, 2022 meeting and to the City Council in late 2022 or early 2023.
