The City is committed to improving service so that it offers optimal benefits for its residents. Nighttime street sweeping has multiple barriers, such as numerous vehicles parked on the street due to disabled placards or approved nighttime parking permits. Unfortunately, if a single vehicle blocks the street sweeper path, they will need to maneuver around the vehicle, therefore missing debris that accumulates by the curb drains. The overnight parking exemption cannot accommodate all of the vehicles parked during the daytime sweeping zones; therefore, vehicles are parking at the designated nighttime sweeping zones. A daytime street sweeping schedule will ensure streets are clear of any parked vehicles for more effective street sweeping.
