Canapé: French Arts & Culture

June 16 at 10:30 pm
Since 1996, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and CUNY TV have produced together one of the few French programs to appear on American television entirely devoted to French cultural events in New York and the United States. This half-hour show includes film releases, book translations, exhibitions, festivals, ballets, concerts and theater productions.  This episode features world music from Mundial Montreal, Hela Yousfi's new book "UGTT a Tunisian Passion," a historical interview with Algerian author Assia Djebar, and a previous talk with Jacques Rivette about his movie "who knows."
