DUI Checkpoint Results
Beverly Hills, Calif. – On March 17, 2023, a DUI checkpoint was held at North Santa Monica Blvd. and Crescent Drive from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
A total of 1300 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, and 427 were screened. No arrests were made during this operation.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off the roads.
The next DUI checkpoint will be held in the month of September. The specific date has yet to be determined.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
