Please be advised that the planned meeting on September 6, 2023, regarding the filling of vacant palm sites on the 500-800 blocks of Hillcrest Road is CANCELED.
Based on the input we have received in recent weeks, we understand that the community strongly values the palm tree identity of the street and there is not support for introducing shade trees on Hillcrest Road. Therefore, Mexican Fan Palms will remain as the designated tree for vacant sites or replacements, as chosen through the 2007 Canary Island Date Palm Street Master Plan process.
