A Major Project is a large-scale private development project (commercial, residential, and mixed-use) that requires approval of entitlements by the Planning Commission and/or City Council prior to being built. Major Projects are typically governed by Specific Plans or other special land use regulations, and are often subject to extensive environmental impact analysis and mitigations.

The current list of Major Projects in the City includes One Beverly Hills; Rosewood Residences; 9600 Wilshire (Saks); Beverly Hills Creative Offices; and others.
